American Time & Signal Company History

American Time and Signal Co. was founded by Jeff Baumgartner in August 1980. The first product catalog included clocks and a clock repair service. Throughout its growth, the company has moved to larger locations in Dassel, Minnesota. Over the course of 28 years, it has grown from a small manufacturing company with a handful of employees to an innovative direct-mail company offering a complete line of synchronized replacement clocks and parts for all major brands. Acquisitions of well-known major brands such as Standard Electric Time, Edwards, Faraday, Couch and Honeywell made clocks available directly from American Time and Signal Co.

While timekeeping systems, replacement clocks and repairs continue to be the core business, American Time and Signal Co. continues to expand the product offering with cutting-edge SiteSync IQ™ Wireless Clock System technology.
